About
-----

This is a demo/music disk based on Cthugha for Unix, I have made it
resolution independent and added a few effects of my own but basically
it remains very Cthugha like. The demo uses combinations of simple
effects (a wave, a flame/translation, a palette and mirrors) to provide
an animation of the music played.

A Risc PC is required to run the program but a StorngARM and a 16-bit
sound card are highly recommended: the first one for the processing
power required and the second for sound quality and the fact that waves
aspect become nearly indepedant from the volume setting. Try not to use
headphones but connect the audio output to decent speakers or a HiFi.

If you have a less powerful processor like an ARM 610 you should select
the smallest possible screen resolution (I have put the 256x192 one
that comes with the Sega emulation within the main directory), select
56 as sound quality and maybe drop volume ramping. You can fiddle with
the sound settings but you will notice that as you will try to increase
output quality the player will not be able to squeeze enough processing
power from the CPU and will reduce the note polyphony.

For the music, I have selected 10 of the best tracker files available
on the net, and I must confess that it was very hard to choose between
	all the good stuff available:

	Title: Author:
	------ -------
	Add then Subtract Hunz
	Amber Poison Necros
	Dirty Walk Necros
	Dreaming in Green Necros
	Freedom at Midnight Basehead
	Pleasure Boy Hunz
	Saber Moon Wayfinder
	Paranoid Android Necros
	Sages Stinger
	Karina Xerxes

I have stored for nearly 2 hours of the best effects combinations
the program as produced so far, so that you may let the music loop
to enjoying a little more of those nice songs.

Look out for a Cthugha multitasking visualization plug-in
for DigitalCD based on this demo in a near future.
