                 _______!_

The REISNAC archive should contain the following files:

    !REISNAC.!Help - this info text
    !REISNAC.!Run
    !REISNAC.!Sprites
    !REISNAC.code
    !REISNAC.demodat

    modes100Hz - screenmode defs. for 100Hz monitors (31kHz/100Hz)
modesPAL - screenmode definitions for PAL monitors (15kHz/50Hz)
modesVGA - screenmode definitions for VGA monitors (31kHz/70Hz)

  Space wasting legal text:

REISNAC is sceneware. It may be copied freely on the condition that all the
files listed above are included and left unchanged. If you want to include
REISNAC into your commercial PD library or on a CD-ROM ask for permission
  first.

___[ System. ]__________________________________________________________________

  Hardware reqs! |
                 _______!_
                        '

To run properly REISNAC needs at least:

    - StrongARM CPU or compatible
    - 3MB DRAM
    - 1MB VRAM
    - RISC OS 3.5

REISNAC will refuse to run on non-StrongARM machines. However there is a
trick to start it anyway. ;)

Your monitor definition file should contain definitions for these screen
  resolutions:

    320 x 256, 50Hz or 100Hz
    384 x 288, 50Hz or 100Hz, overscanned display
    640 x 256, 50Hz or 100Hz

Other screen-refresh rates than 50Hz or 100Hz will work, but we recommend
you to use 50Hz or 100Hz screenmodes for smoother animation. REISNAC was
designed for PAL screenmodes (15kHz line freq./50Hz screenrefresh), thus
it should run perfeclty on monitors capable of displaying PAL-standard.

Three screenmode definition files are supplied with the REISNAC archive:

modesPAL - This is a set of PAL screenmodes suitable for monitors
capable of displaying linerates of 15.6kHz. (e.g. TVs,
RGB-monitors or some MultiSync-monitors such as the NEC 3D
                 or the Acorn AKF18/AKF50)
modesVGA - This is a set of VGA screenmodes suitable for VGA monitors
with 31kHz linerate and 70Hz framerate.
modes100Hz - This is a set of screenmodes suitable for MultiSync and VGA
monitors capable of displaying linerates of 31kHz and refresh-
                 rates of 100Hz.

If your monitor definition file does not already contain the resolutions
listed above, use one of the supplied sets of mode-definitions. Try to use
the PAL or the 100Hz modes in preference to the VGA 70Hz versions for better
  animation and display quality.

Icebird is organizing the InterJam party '97. It is coming up in Autumn 97!
After the success of Yelling Jam Party 96 and Intercon Party these parties
joined together and InterJam is the result. The Party place will be near
Karlsruhe/Germany - you can expect demo, graphics and sound competitions for
all systems including Acorn. To get more information look out for the
official invitation textfile or email to: interjam@samurai.inka.de

We are planning to release another StrongARM demo at InterJam Party 97.

MrCoke and Gizmo are currently developing IcePaint - a pixel program for
demo and game graphics. It is still not sure whether it will work on the
Archimedes as it is designed to make use of the extended RiscPC graphics
  features.
